Integrations & Custom Development

Extend Odoo Where the Operation Justifies It.

Sometimes Odoo needs to connect to another system. Sometimes standard Odoo doesn’t fully support how the operation must work. Either way, we first ask whether extending Odoo is the right answer — and build carefully when it is.

Standard first

Every extension is code someone has to maintain and upgrade. That is why it comes last in our decision path — not first.

The decision path

Five questions before anything is built.

Asked in order. Custom development is reached only when every earlier answer is no.

  1. Can standard Odoo support it?

No — continue to the next question.

    Yes

Use it. Nothing to build or maintain.

  2. Can configuration support it?

No — continue to the next question.

    Yes

Configure it — settings, rules, fields and views.

  3. Can the process be simplified?

No — continue to the next question.

    Yes

Change the process where the requirement exists only because of an old workaround.

  4. Is integration the right answer?

No — continue to the next question.

    Yes

Connect the system that should stay, with a clear owner for each data flow.

  5. Is custom development justified?

No — Revisit the requirement with the business.

    Yes

Build it — scoped, documented and designed to be maintained.

What we build

Connections and extensions — in the context of the operation.

Integrations

  • APIs and external systems

Connect eCommerce, shipping, payment, banking or specialist systems to Odoo.

  • Data exchange

Define what moves, in which direction, how often — and what happens when it fails.

  • Workflow automation

Automate the hand-offs between systems and teams.

Custom development

  • Extensions to standard Odoo

Add the fields, logic or steps the operation genuinely needs.

  • Reports and documents

Build the reports and business documents standard layouts don’t cover.

  • Custom modules where justified

Package larger requirements as maintainable modules.

How we build

Built to be owned, not just delivered.

  1. 01

    Requirement first

Every extension traces back to a business requirement someone can name.

  2. 02

    Upgrade-aware

How an extension will behave in future Odoo versions is considered before it is built.

  3. 03

    Documented

What it does, why it exists and how it connects — written down.

  4. 04

    Minimal footprint

Extend standard behavior rather than replace it, wherever possible.

The full standard-first ladder: Odoo Implementation

Have a requirement standard Odoo doesn’t cover?

Describe the system or the requirement. We’ll start with the five questions — and build only if the answer calls for it.
